Notes regarding ORD 09-07:
This proposed Ordinance 09-07 is a document created by the CAFO Task Force which was
comprised of Richard Sleep (Lawrence County Resident/Operator), Paul Baker (Lawrence
County Resident/Operator), Tom Quinn (City of Spearfish Councilman, Lawrence County
Resident, Previous NRCS Employee), Rick Tysdal (Planning and Zoning Chairman/Resident),
Robert Ewing (County Commission Chair/Resident), Doug Lindgren (Resident), Ron Neisent
(Spearfish Resident), Bruce Outka (County Commission Attorney), and Amber Vogt (Planning
and Zoning Director).
This document has been presented to the Lawrence County Commission for a 1st and a 2nd
reading and to date has still not been approved or denied. The Commission has decided to
pull the Ordinance off of the website until they have another DRAFT for the public. The
Public Hearing has been closed, but changes will be reviewed again on April 27, 2010 at
10:30 a.m. in the Commissioner Room at 90 Sherman Street, Deadwood, SD 57732.
