County has partnered with Official Payments to offer payment of taxes and fees over the
Internet at www.officialpayments.com, or by
telephone by calling 1-800-2PAY-TAXsm (1-800-272-9829).
American Express®, Discover®, MasterCard®, and Visa® credit and debit
cards are accepted.
Official Payments, the service provider, charges a
convenience fee for payment processing.

To make non-delinquent real property tax, mobile
home, or special assessment tax payments, you will need to get the following information
from your tax notice:
- Parcel Number
- 1st or 2nd Payment Amount (you can pay the
1st half, 2nd half or both at the same time)
If you are paying delinquent taxes, contact the
Lawrence County Treasurer at 605-578-1862, so they can tell you the interest and
certificate & advertising fees and a total payment due.
For motor vehicle registrations, contact the Lawrence
County Treasurer at 605-578-1862 first to get the registration fee amount. You will
also need the Title Number of the vehicle you're re-registering.
