Description of Duties: |
Processes Inmates,
Conducts Work Release Program, Controls Inmate Movement, and Provides Routine
Medical Care to Prisoners. Maintains Corrections Data Base, and Exhibits
Concern for the Physical Welfare of All Prisoners. Must be able to type 35
words per minute. |

Experience/Education: |
Custodial Experience
Desired. High School Diploma or GED
equivalent required. He/She must be
capable of obtaining a South Dakota Jailer’s Certificate. |
|
|
|
|
Additional Information: |
He/She must be capable of
obtaining a working knowledge of Jail Duties.
He/She must be capable of becoming fluent in the LCSO Custody Division
Policy Manuel. He/She must possess
sound interpersonal skills which would enable them to work with fellow staff,
prisoners, court officers, and the general public. |
